Having built a company that has forged long term relationships based on committed service, when the time comes to take life easier it feels important that customers and suppliers are not abandoned.
In the world of branded promotional products when placing a repeat order with a totally new supplier it can prove expensive to re-source and originate artwork all over again, as well as getting an unfamiliar supplier up to speed with brand guidelines and customer needs.
The Leeds-based company – Autograph Promotions – run by industry veteran Christine Hesketh needed to pass the baton to a like-minded, experienced company and Something Different UK Ltd was the perfect fit.
At heart both businesses believe in giving personal service from a dedicated manager with precise knowledge in an often complex market. The branded promotional products business is, at heart, one that provides a bespoke solution and is relationship driven.
Product knowledge is vitally important but so too is tuning in to the heartbeat of the customer. There are many pitfalls to be avoided in the process from original enquiry to final delivery which is often against a tight deadline. Another complication is that people tend to move around in the marketing sector so it is vital that supplier retains the history of past orders and continually monitors changes to branding and customer direction.
Chris was very keen to give her customers and suppliers continuity by trusting Something Different – a similar sized company – to make a seamless transition. All data and artwork has already been transferred and most importantly Chris is still on hand to answer any questions for the next 2 years.
Prices remain unchanged, and we have a catalogue with over 1,000 product ideas as well as a very easy-to-use website with a further 12,000 items. Our art room can also produce visuals and finished artwork in house as part of our service.
